A rainy day ist passing slowly
the skies are dark with clouds of grey,
and in my mind I’m counting teardrops
and get to feel I’ve gone astray.
A rainy day won’t last forever
so if you see no hope in sight,
just lift your head and watch the raindrops
make all the colours clean and bright.
A rainy day got in the way
but it’s not here to stay,
and when the sun lights up again,
beyond the clouds will be a rainbow glowing then.
Übersetzung
Ein regnerischer Tag geht langsam dahin.
Die Himmel sind dunkel von grauen Wolken,
und in Gedanken zähle ich Tränentropfen
und fühle mich langsam verloren.
Ein Regentag währt nicht für ewig.
Wenn Du also keine Hoffnung in Sicht siehst,
heb' einfach den Kopf und schaue, wie die Regentropfen
alle Farben sauber und strahlend machen.
Ein Regentag kam in den Weg
aber er ist nicht hier, um zu bleiben.
Und wenn die Sonne wieder aufscheint,
wird hinter den Wolken ein Regenbogen erleuchten.
